Updates: Is It Worth Expecting?
By Fred Salva

I still remember that gorgeous and remarkable day when Google has officially released Android 2.2 Frozen Yogurt for its devices. It was the 20th of May, 2010. Well, today is the 20th of May 2011 and we happen to have another step of evolution that is called Android 2.3 Gingerbread and, actually, a second another one that is called Android 3.0 Honeycomb. While the second one runs exclusively on tablets, Android 2.3 Gingerbread has a smart-phone origin. But here is the thing: despite the fact that Gingerbread happens to be on the software market for quite a long time, some devices were not lucky even to receive Froyo. I think that it is a real shame because there is great canyon between Android 2.1 and Android 2.2 while differences between Froyo and Gingerbread are not that serious. So, Google, is it even worth expecting things like updating a class of low Android gadgets running clairs and Donuts or else to receive at least Froyo with its great features? I hope the answer is positive.
