Well Google has done it and released a developer version of the T-Mobile G1 for $399.00. This Dev Phone 1 is SIM Card and Hardware unlocked. In order to get your hands on one of these babies you first need to prove that you?re a developer. Don?t worry there isn?t a test, not even a multiple choice, all you have to do is register as a developer at the Android Market and pay a one time setup fee of $25.00. There you are, you are now an Android G1 Developer.
Developers can now take advantage of the Android developer version of the bootloader that is not restricted to officially signed firmware builds. Possibilities here are very interesting indeed.
