U.S. Cellular Updates to Froyo
By Fred Salva

Despite the fact that Android 2.3 Gingerbread is not that far from spreading all over the Android devices, some of the American carriers are still occupied in creating Android 2.2 Froyo update for their line. U.S. Cellular has finally decided to surprise its customers and has some serious intentions to equip its Android line with the Froyo. Here is their official statement on the Facebook. ?We?re working with Samsung, HTC and LG to provide Froyo (Android 2.2) upgrades for all of our Android-powered phones. The Acclaim upgrade will be available by the end of next week, and customers with the Desire will be able to upgrade their device by the end of this month. The Apex and Mesmerize will be ready for upgrades around March. Download details coming next week. Thanks for your patience.? Well, I guess it?s better late than never but this is not the best marketing strategy. Moreover, if they will release the update for Mesmerize in March 2011 only then when we should expect Gingerbread coming?
