Swype Will Get ICS Support Soon
By Fred Salva

One of the most popular alternative keyboards is finally getting prepared to receive an important update that is supposed to make it compatible with the Ice Cream Sandwich based devices. Here?s the message left on the official Swype twitter account: Good news! Official ICS support is near. Final tweaks and testing should be done in time for an anticipated end-of-month beta update. Despite the fact that there is only a couple of ICS based smart-phone right now, a bit closer to the spring season we are going to see a real update boom of the Android 4.0. If you are not interested in waiting for the beta, you can always install a hacked version but I think that this text input alternative deserves to be downloaded officially with the official support. I?ve been using Swype for quite a long time already and I can say with a firm that this is one of the most comfortable and well made virtual keyboards for Android.
