Motorola Shares its Achievements During Q1
By Fred Salva

Not that long time ago Google purchased Motorola for a certain amount of money. So, let’s take a look how successful was Google’s rule over Motorola headquarters. During Q1 of 2012 Motorola was up 3 percent to $2.2 billion in its mobile device division. But, at the same time Motorola Mobility still posted a $121 million (GAAP) operating loss for the quarter, some $32 million more than a year ago. I am not sure how about you, but I find $121 million a lot, even if you are one of the most famous companies in the world. On the plus side, Motorola shipped 8.9 million mobile devices, 5.1 million of which are smart-phones. Of course, the most popular and wanted device was the Droid RAZR MAXX with Motorola Droid 4 coming right after him and Motoluxe closing the incredible trio. Maybe it’s just me but I think that Motorola requires immediate restructuring, otherwise – the next quarter might be even more harmful.
