Vodafone’s infection from tainted Memory Card

Contrary to what many other news sites have been reporting, Vodfone’s incident with the infected HTC Magic was the fault of a tainted memory card. No, these phones were not mass produced with the Mariposa Botnet, so there is no fear to worry. Now the only step to solving this crime is to figure out how an infected memory card was installed into the phone before it was shipped out… I smell an inside job on this one. Maybe an unhappy employee. Vodafone, are you giving your employees the benefits they deserve? There should definitely be better QA on Vodafone’s part before they ship these kinds of things out to their customers. But to all the news sites who haven’t updated their articles to this current news.. come on - Vodafone isn’t against the world or the Android OS. [AndroidCentral]
