As we all know Apple has been expieriencing some Atenna problems which are making customers quite mad! Verizon and Apple have been competing against eachother for quite a long time now and with another rivalry just about to get stirred up again. In the NY Times paper there was an ad for the Droid X, saying that it didnt need no dang bumpers. After reading the article about the Droid X you can cleary tell that there going right for Apple.

At Motorola, we believe a customer shouldn't have to dress up their phone for it to work properly. That's why the DROID X comes with a dual antenna design. The kind that allows you to hold the phone any way you like to make crystal clear calls without a bulky phone jacket. For us it's just one of those things that comes as a given when you've been making mobile phones for over 30 years.

I think Motorola just made a statement their way above Apple right now and plan on keeping it that way! If Apple keeps on bugging them about things that aren't even a big deal then i believe that Verizon has done the right thing by fighting back.
