Last week was the long awaited release of the Motorola Droid X. The new Android 2.1 device sold out quickly in many Verizon stores, but that was to be expected. With all the photo leaks and all the teaser videos, people were eventually going to get riled up. Motorola and Verizon made the Droid X look like the best thing out there, which is why we're so surprised at the fact that it has a slight malfunction. Well maybe more than slight, the Droid X has a continuous flickering on a few phones.

There are videos up on the internet of the Droid X experiencing a period of flickering. There is also vertical white lines running up and those who spent the money for this phone aren't pleased. Hopefully this is contained and is just on a couple of phones and won't happen on everybody's phones. As it is there aren't enough Droid X's to meet the number of people who want them, much less enough to give everyone who has one a brand new one. The videos below show some examples of what is going on with the Motorola Droid X, lets cross our fingers that thisis only the case with a select few phones.talkandroid] video
