It has come to our attention that Samsung UK is giving away free Galaxy S smartphones to annoyed iPhone 4 users. Samsung is contacting these users through Twitter using the account @samsungukmobile. They are contacting people who have complained about their bad iPhone 4 experience and asking for them to send in their contact details to receive free Galaxy S smartphone. It has been confirmed by Samsung that the marketing campaign is legitimate so tweet away UK iPhone users maybe you'll be lucky and receive a new Galaxy S.
Samsung sure is boasting with confidence to create a marketing campaign like this. Samsung believes, along with me, that the Galaxy S is a superior smartphone to the iPhone 4. This campaign of letting the consumer decide by using is unconventional but will pay off in the end with honest consumer reports of using both devices. Wired has been contacted by Samsung confirming the campaign stating:
"Recently there has been a real increase in online activity from consumers dissatisfied with some of our competitors’ products. We decided to contact a cross section of individuals to offer them a free Samsung Galaxy S as a replacement, as we’re confident that once people have the phone in their hands, they’ll see how impressive it is for themselves."Source
