Today Cincinnati Bell has announced their newest Android device, the Samsung Behold II. The device is launching today with only the price confirmed. Launch price will be $129.99 after two-year equipment contract agreement and a $100 mail-in rebate. If your not interested in starting a new equipment contract then you can walk away with the device for the retail price of $229.99 with a $100 mail-in rebate on the condition you are a new customer.
Other things that can be confirmed about the Cincinnati Bell Samsung Behold II is that it will not come with annoying pre-installed applications. This includes the frustrating TouchWiz user interface that other carriers, like T-Mobile, have pre-installed. This version of the Behold II comes with stock Android 1.5. This is a major bonus to have the stock Android operating system installed as opposed to the TouchWiz branded version. This Android device strongly strengthens Cincinnati Bell’s Android line of devices and furthers their Android push. Cincinnati Bell’s other Android devices include the carrier branded blaze, and the upcoming Motorola Milestone XT720 (essentially the Droid). It is disappointing how the device is a mid-range Android device but its worth it for the price.
