A Droid X user experiencing difficulties in receiving notifications with Microsoft Exchange 2003 email services has just landed a exciting response from Motorola support on the Droid X support forum. The User Simply stated that he switched back to his old HTC phone because it was better. This caused a slurry of responses which in turn were responded to by Moto support. The support agent by the name Matt revealed sweet news for Droid X users.
Matt stated in his response in bold face "A fix for this will be included in the upgrade to Android 2.2 scheduled for deployment by early September." All the rumors of the Droid X receiving the update in August and the rumors of it coming out now are busted. Will this information hold legitimate when early September rolls around?
Oh Matt was even nice enough to inform the forum that any Droid X users experiencing problems with Exchange 2003 can receive a free license of Touchdown. Touchdown has working Exchange 2003 notifications. This free license is to accommodate users until the Android 2.2 update.
