Motorola brings Android to your House Phone

Today in Android Cell Phone News, it seems that Motorola is trying to bring a little bit of Android OS into the home, and is bringing a cordless house phone running Android OS to the United States. This phone, named the DECT 6.0 Phone, or HS 1001, is made by Binatone - A Hong Kong-Based company - and will be selling for $150 in the US come this Summer. The HS 1001 packs Wifi into it’s design, a 2.8-inch touch screen display (used to dial, browse, or email), and a speaker-equipped charging dock that is able to blast all of your favorite music. If you can’t stand to say goodbye to that land line, this phone may not be a Nexus One, but it’s an awesome alternative to that boring cordless house phone sitting on your counter-top right now - jeez… you can’t even browse on that thing! We’ll bring you more information on this product as it nears closer to release, only at AndroidTrek.com [Engadget]
