PROS – The HTC Droid Incredible is a blazingly fast phone with it’s 1 GHz Snapdragon Processor and 512 MB RAM. The Device’s 3.7-inch Touchscreen display is extremely clear and responsive to touch. Multitouch is always a nice feature, and the Sense UI makes navigating this device a breeze.
CONS – The display could be a bit larger. Voice and Data are inaccessible at the same time. The device has a sort of cheap feel to it, being mostly constructed of plastic.
Looks & Characteristics
Every so often there comes a device which enthusiastically outperforms the majority of other devices that are currently competing out on the market. When you couple a device like this with the latest version of a top-notch Operating System such as Android, you get something similar to the HTC Droid Incredible. This phone should come as no surprise, as it was much anticipated by the mobile world through leaks and various pictures that appeared of the phone online before it’s release. What makes the Droid Incredible so great? Just a few features – the Android 2.1 Eclair build with Sense UI, a 1 GHz snapdragon processor, an 8-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash, and let’s not forget the beautiful 3.7-inch AMOLED capactitive touchscreen. With all these features coupled together, it’s no wonder people on the Verizon Network are going crazy over the HTC Droid Incredible.
Using The Phone
The HTC Droid Incredible takes the best and most sought-after features in a mobile device and brings them all together under one roof, into one case – the device itself. The 1 GHz Snapdragon processor produced by the company Qualcomm allows the Incredible to reach top-notch speeds for a current mobile device, and when coupled with 512 MB RAM, we can clearly see how this device can be considered a powerhouse. Other features of the phone include the Android 2.1 Eclair build with an overlying updated version of HTC’s patented Sense User Interface. Also included is an 8-Megapixel Camera with a Dual-LED Flash and autofocus, 8 GB of Internal Storage, 748 MB ROM, and a 3.7-inch Capacitive AMOLED Display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The device measures in at 4.63 x 2.3 x 0.47 inches, and weighs a mere 4.59 ounces, which makes it much lighter than many other smartphones on the market on it’s release.
Main Highlights
Overall, this device stands as a great competitor in the market, and on it’s release, is by far the best Android device that is offered on Verizon. The phone is blazingly fast, and has enough speed to dodge the lag that may occur with slower Android devices. The display is extremely responsive, even to the slightest intentional touch, and the multitouch ability that is inherent in the Incredible gives it a feeling of ‘I can do anything onthis phone!’ Although some may complain and critique that the screen is under four inches, this is a great device if you desire to use it as a mobile device should be used. If you intend on watching full-length movies to your enjoyment, you may want to go with a device with a larger screen, but other than that, 3.7-inches is far superior than many of the other devices even on the market. Overall, the HTC Droid Incredible is an amazing piece of mobile technology that will be competing with the top-lines of phones for some time now.
