It is a great day whenever we get news from Google, and today is a very good day! Google has announced two major news stories, one is that Google Maps for Android has been updated to version 4.6, and it was announced as well that Google Latitude will now get real time updating. For the Google Maps news, version 4.6 will change the layout of the Places page, for example, the "Reviews From Google Users", and the reviews from around the web pages for a place will have the same layout. In addition to the reviews update, Google has updated how you find places, rather than searching purely based on ratings or distance, Google has added three new search options; Open now, Neighborhood, Related searches. These allow you to find a location that is open right now, rather than finding a location, and hoping that it's open. There's also the option to search a particular neighborhood, and you can find new places by choosing related searches. Google Latitude has added real time updating, so what does that mean? It means that on social sites, you can update your location faster than ever before, and let others know where you are, provided they too have a phone with Android 2.2.
