The Droid X has become a very popular phone and has been sold out in many stores you go to! Verizon has been taking the extra step of sending emails to your inbox explaining to you would be able to upgrade your phone even if you haven’t it for a year. As you’ve seen there have been many commercials about the Droid X on TV and many people think that’s where the ads should stay. People say it annoys them when they have tons of emails coming in from Verizon talking about the new Droid X. In August the Droid 2 might be released! The Droid 2 will be updated with Android 2.2 plus its going to be a smartphone. The Droid 2.2 has a QWERTY keyboard so if you like to text a lot I would most likely wait for this phone. Some information about the Droid X is that it has and 8 mega-pixel camera plus, 720p HD, HDMI Micro out and 24GB storage. One new thing that has been added to this phone is the three mics which cancel out the noise around to make sure the person talking to you can hear your voice and your voice only. The phone has built-in wireless and has 3G capability!

The new Android T1 phone has bet set to release on October 20! This is a slide phone with half the phone black and half the phone white. It has a very nice slim look to it and is not wide or thick at all. The T1 has a 3.2 capacitive TFT touchscreen and I’ve only heard one complaint. The complaint is that the numbers are put to close to each other so if your trying to text someone fast you’ll most like push the wrong button accidentally. The T1 has a small built in HDMI port with WiFi and bluetooth. Other specs the phone has is A-GPS plus an accelerometer. If you’d like to pre-order this phone you must do after September 20th. I believe this phone will be bought by many people and that there’s going to great reviews written about it. It is said to be a great phone to browse the web on. You could go on websites such as facebook, myspace, yahoo and much more. Re,ember, don’t forget to pre-order this phone starting on September 20th.

As we all know Apple has been expieriencing some Atenna problems which are making customers quite mad! Verizon and Apple have been competing against eachother for quite a long time now and with another rivalry just about to get stirred up again. In the NY Times paper there was an ad for the Droid X, saying that it didnt need no dang bumpers. After reading the article about the Droid X you can cleary tell that there going right for Apple.

At Motorola, we believe a customer shouldn’t have to dress up their phone for it to work properly. That’s why the DROID X comes with a dual antenna design. The kind that allows you to hold the phone any way you like to make crystal clear calls without a bulky phone jacket. For us it’s just one of those things that comes as a given when you’ve been making mobile phones for over 30 years.

I think Motorola just made a statement their way above Apple right now and plan on keeping it that way! If Apple keeps on bugging them about things that aren’t even a big deal then i believe that Verizon has done the right thing by fighting back.

There’s a new phone coming out called the T-Phone and it is made by Modu! The T-Phone is said to look like and work like the iPhone 3G. The phone has 3G capability, but its lacking much data right now. For now, there is no set release date. The T-Phone has a very sleek look to it and is in the shape of a rectangle. To make it work nearly as good as the iPhone 3G they will need to work on fixing the wireless connections and 3G capability. If those two problems are fixed users will be able to browse the web at fast speeds! The phone has a decent sized touchscreen, but not as big as the iPhone 3G screen. I can see this phone being popular sometime in the near future. I believe it will be compared to the iPhone 3G and will have similar specs. If I were you I’d keep track of this phone and continue to get more and more information on it. You never know you might want this phone when it comes out if it fits your personality!

Many people have found out about the BlackBerry Bold 9800 aka ’slider’, which has been leaked many times. On August 3rd located in New York City AT&T and BlackBerry manufacturer have sent invites out. Most likely they’ll talk about about the new BlackBerry Bold 9800, but there has been no announcement yet about what they’ll talk about or what their going to do. There has been much talk about the Blackberry 6  and Blackberry Bold 9800. The Slider is the next BlackBerry smartphone waiting to be released. At first, the phone was to be released in April and now its May. They still haven’t made any announcements about the release date so I wouldn’t get my hopes up to fast!  There’s not much information on the Slider but the the BlackBerry Model 9700 was a very successful phone. So I believe that the Slider will follow in its steps and get tons of great reviews. The only Information about the BlackBerry 6 people know about is that it will come out sometime in the third quarter of 2010

Google Maps version 4.4 has just been sent out! With this update, you will be able to receive crystal clear directions to the destination of your wish. There will be a dedicated “places” icon with a new logo. So lets say your search is for “pizza”, you will quickly be given the information to your destination through Google maps. This is all available for all the Androids using v1.6 or newer. There now is a place page, which would be located on your phone. It shows the lists and hours of the businesses, compass directions and the total distance you are away from your destination. If you have a “favorite store” that you always go to you will be able to load the location of the building in your own personal category. When you type in an address you will be able to see pictures of the location your going to also menus, pricing and parking information which can be helpful at some times. When your on long trips it would be a smart idea to use Google maps to locate a hotel if your thinking about stopping in the middle of the night. The main question is does this update fit YOU? Its finally here, so now its your turn to go and download the updates!

The T-Mobile G1 is not for sale anymore! Companies no longer have them in stock anymore and never will again. T-Mobile has come out with many different varieties of phones tho! They have smartphones and are currently coming out with much more. Some of the smartphones they have are the 3G Slide and the HTC HD2. The T-Mobile G1 has an amazing 528MHz Qualacomm processor and a 320×4803.2-inch display. It has an alright sized screen, nothing that stands out to much. When you first look at the phone you think of it as just a plain phone with nothing to it. The phone is equipped with a QWERTY keyboard and has 3G support. It is an excellent web browser and can surf through pages such as Google, Facebook and Myspace. It easily accesses Google applications. Don’t judge this phone by looks! It actually does a lot more than you think it can! If this type of phone fits into your personality and your interested in it I would not wait one second to buy it.

The Tegra 2 has been set to be released during the holidays! As many of you know there have been lots and lots of delays. Leaving that one question to the customers. Will it actually arrive in time for the holidays? The Tegra 2 has been put at a price of $518. The phone has a capacitive multitouch. It is equipped with WiFi, Bluetooth, dual-core iGHz Tegra 2 T20 chip and HDMI which is all powered by a single 3900mAh battery. The battery expectancy is between 8-9 hours. The Tegra 2 has a shiny slim look to it. It’s measured in at 253mm x 164mm x 12.5 and weighs 660 g. The 10-inch touchscreen has no cramped feeling when typing on it, so it has a pretty good two-fingered touch . It has the first dual core A9 processor which clocks in at 500 MHz. The Tegra 2 has an amazing clear display screen, but the one thing thats disappointing the people is that you can’t watch movies in 1080 HD. From hearing about the reviews of the Tegra 2 it would seem like it would be an easy device to type. When the display screen is turned off the Tegra 2 can actually play music for up to 140 hours without dying! If this sounds like the type of phone your interested in getting then I wouldn’t hesitate one bit!

We all remember Jeffrey Sharkey, the developer who won a ton of $$ from Google for his CompareEverywhere software. Guess who decided to put Mr. Sharkey on the payroll. Before he starts at his new job at Google, he has been coding overtime to finish up on OilCan. OilCan is essentially “Greasemonkey on Steroids” for the Android platform. Oilcan is used to customize any website.
Oilcan can make JavaScript call to scan a barcode, or launch into Maps or other Android Apps. Greasemonkey scripts can customize websites to the users’ personal tastes that can help when dealing with small mobile screens by shredding excess columns and margins. There are currently thousands for GreaseMonkey scripts available today. If you would like to educate yourself there is an OilCan site with more information. Download OilCan here by following this link from your G1 browser.
