Initially reported by AndroLib that their reports showed that the Android market had reached 100,000 apps yesterday was amazing news. However It was reported by Google them selves that the market was only containing 70 thousand apps. Still not a small number to contend with. Some of the issues in the count are having to deal with international market numbers and unsupported apps. Now what ever the really count the fact that Android has only really been relevant in the last 18 months and already have 70 thousand official apps on the market is still pretty dang impressive. Even more astonishing is that Android has had over 1 billion app downloads. Now AndroLib didn’t specify if that number included app updates but either way still extremely impressive. When AndroLib and Google settle their number debate we will update you on the finally tally.
