The iPhone has a plethora of cool applications but one of the favorites is… Wait for it…. Yep it is the iTunes Remote. The question is will the Android click be able to take advantage of such smooth apps? Thanks you Jeff Sharkley, you will be able to get your iTunes groove on with your new G1 or any other Android based cell phone. Mr. Sharkley reverse engineered the Apple remote app and developed a version for the Android platform. It looks and appears to work great. This is one application you won’t want to miss out on.
There are 5 sections on the remote:
1.) Playlists-Gives access to playlists as in iTunes. Changes made to iTunes are imitated on the remote.
2.) Artists-Browser view ordered by artist name just like on the iPod.
3.) Albums-Browser view by album but with cover art streamed from iTunes.
4.) Search-Look for your favorite song or artist with this neat little search engine.
5.) More-This is where you will be able to find other media files such as audio books, music videos and movies.
