For some time users of competing devices have had the upper hand on Android users when it came to being out on the links, but that may be changing very soon, thanks to a new app that looks to change how people play golf. Golfshot: GolfGPS has officially been released for the Android, and the features in the new app are amazing. The feature that will likely benefit golfers of all skill levels is the ability to actually see the hole from above, and not only that, but you can also see just how far your last shot went, and how far you are from the pin, and in what direction you need to go, in order to keep your score low. Also built into the app is a score tracker that will prevent “creative scoring” and can also keep up with stats from each round. This is an invaluable app for those who love the game or even if you are just a scratch golfer. It is easy to find, all you have to do is go to the Android Market, and search for Golfshot.

Though most in the States likely do not know what the Samsung Galaxy Beam is, what it does, or rather what it does not do, but it is creating some controversy in the nation of Singapore, where it was launched earlier this year. What it does do is project photos by using a built in pico projector, so you can show off your photos without having to pass the phone around. This feature was a first, in that no other Android device has this option available at this time. What it does not do, nor will it do, is be upgraded to Android 2.2, something that has the small, but excited, customer base less than impressed. The reason Samsung will not upgrading the phone? Samsung believes that the customer base is too small to merit an upgrade. While this may be a drawback, the built in projector makes up for it, but do not go out looking one for yourself, because they are currently sold out,  and it is unknown, whether more will be made in the future.

The codename for Mozilla’s mobile version of Firefox is Fennec, a bit of a name change is being paid in line with the current version of Firefox. Fennec 2.0 is still being updated with lightly builds and is currently in alpha, but according to lead developer Mark Finkle the “web rendering engines used in both browsers are the same”. For its eventual release Fennec will be now have its official name changed to “Firefox 4 for Android and Nokia N900”.The version number has changed from 2.0b1 version to the current 4.0b1 version which is identical. People are not confused as to why Firefox mobile is only 2.x,but their desktop version is 4.x,so these changes should help Mozilla out with marketing the browser.

While Android 2.2 is slowly being rolled out to users in the United States, T-Mobile users in the United Kingdom, and more specifically, users of the Samsung Galaxy S, are going to have to wait a little longer to enjoy the benefits of the latest version of the hugely popular mobile operating system. T-Mobile UK announced that the highly anticipated release of Android 2.2 will be put off for an unknown amount of time, and no updated release has been set. While this will be frustrating for users of the Samsung  Galaxy S, T-Mobile has promised to keep their users updated through their forums and web site with any future news, including a possible release date for the Android 2.2 update. On the T-Mobile forums, they have said that they hope to have a possible release date set sometime within the next two weeks, stay tuned to see if what they say actually happens.

Probably a true fact Big Red really likes Android phones. A blury image of the new Samsung I-400 has posted by the dude, or rather, the guy, over at The Droid Guy. Probably saying,”meh”looking at this phone. It looks a bit more than look like a basic phone. There is a huge glare across the bottom—but look closer that probably does not help the fact that. Two displays: the main large screen and the lower mini-screen is shipping with this new Samsung phone. The Barnes and Noble Nook reminds us this design. Launch date and pricing no comments just yet. Android 2.1will ship with that all we know carry Bing as the primary search engine. So no comments just go ahead…

TaintDroid is to conserve your personal data which is more important for everyone. This is a new collection for Android phone. Using a scientific technique called “dynamic taint analysis “it can monitors the private data that third party applications request from your Android phone. It is a joint project between intel,Penn State University, Duke University. When one tries to send personal identifiable data from your device TaintDoid alert you through monitoring applications. It will inform you just what is being sent and where it’s being sent to, but won’t tell you that this is good or bad. Then you can make decision what should you do? What sort of permissions an application while Android does tell you will have contact to, many users ignore those warnings. At their project they have a nice FAQ and video of TaintDroid.

Samsung SCH-i400 containing the new Verizon now live and in person. It contains the refined things like unannounced Android 2.1 phone coming from Samsung, intended for Verizon, and get a few tricks up its casing.
Thanks to a previous reveal, because we knew a few things going into this. It is a meter of things that, we do not know when it is coming. It will be soon judging by the build quality. How much it will price we don’t know, it will be in the usual $150-200 price range which is unbelievable.
We don’t have official just yet.OK,we have dug up some, and surmised others. But naturally glasses are subject to change, as are software skin texture, we normally imagine.
After the launch of the Fascinate we are puzzled by the emergence of the Continuum so soon. You are pretty much getting a slimmed down Galaxy, but it’s not enough to make that being difference. Market Verizon targets the Continuum, now we will have to see.

Let’s say you wanted to go to the movies, but you wasn’t near your computer and still wanted to look up showtimes? Having your Android in your phone, you can download (for free) an app called Flixster. Flixster is an app that can bring you the latest showtimes, box office information, movie trailers, and movie reviews from Rotten-Tomatoes.com . Another thing that is spiffy about this app that you can have links to movie theaters maps/phone numbers, upcoming movies (which is a plus in my book), DVD information, and cupcake support. It sounds like an awesome app to have and it will come in handy if you are on vacation and want to look up a local theater for showtimes or whatnot. Time to power on the Android phone and download the app. I can’t wait to use it and will definitely recommended this app to my friends. Time to go to the movies, thanks to Flixster!

This is one of my conclusions. Where I used to get Taco Bell from, needs to take down a billboard stating that it is there. There have been so many times that I pulled into this former Taco Bell location and immediately cursed myself, because it’s gone. At times like these, I wish I had a GPS on my phone so I can see which food options are closer.

With the Google’s hyperlocal ad on Android phones, I can search what food options or anything else that is near by where I live or if I’m going on vacation based on your Android phone GPS. Think of it this way: with the Google’s hyperlocal ad, it knows where I am. Let’s say, if I want Mexican one night, the Google’s hyperlocal ad, all it seems like I have to search for Mexican food and the GPS searches off of that. If you don’t want to have the Google’s hyperlocal ad on your Android phone, it’s not a big deal. This only works if you want to share your location with Google via hyperlocal ad.
