In Android Cell Phone News Today, The Android App ‘MemoryUp’, available to the public via the Android Market, has reportedly been destroying personal data, installing random adware, and erasing contacts on it’s users’ phones. The app is supposed to optimize the usage of memory on the Android OS, but instead it is altogether erasing important memory and spamming e-mail – basically the opposite of what it is intended to do. It’s a horrible situation when such an app is released upon the Android Market, but we have to say – Steer clear of the app ‘MemoryUp’ – we hate to see the Market become practically littered with apps that only cause problems instead of solving them like this one. And as a sidenote – Android does not need an app to optimize memory, because Java always eventually cleans up the memory for itself. Well take a look at this, it seems that HTC’s G2 has escaped from the design labs for a in the wild photo. If this photo is infact legitimate, it seems that the G1’s prodocessor ditches the full QWERTY keyboard for a thinner and more sleek design. Supposedly the device sports a 3.2 MP camera. Currently the only device available that supports Android OS is the G1, and we’re not expecting to see this until sometime in may—so if you plan on holding out until then, hold your horses because we will hopefully be seeing more Android devices in the mean time.

The HTC Touch HD is a beautiful device that has Windows Mobile users dropping their jaw at sight. For some unknown reason however, the device will not be recieving a North American launch. The device’s most notable feature? The 480 x 800 VGA display, one of the most crisp screens available. Even more interesting than the device by itself, however, is the device running Android. Android was announced as an open platform OS that could eventually be ported to a full spectrum of devices and that just seems to be the case. The video is a little tough to deal with, but hey it’s better than nothing!

You can peep the video here!

Whatever the process of receiving it, we all want it. We’re all hoping that T-Mobile and Google can stick to the target date that they’ve both set and get this update directly to us so that we can finally have the much anticipated on-screen keyboard. The only device rumor that has been in circulation for almost as long as the Zune Phone would have to be the infamous “Dell Phone” The rumor is back, and it is stronger than ever. According to sources, Dell could go on to release a smart phone as early as next month’s Mobile World Congress. Another source claims that the Dell execs are currently carrying around the G1 as their main mobile device. These rumors seem to go on forever, will we ever seen any light to them though?
