Huawei Announces a 7-inch MediaPad Tablet
By Fred Salva

Huawei announced its first (I guess) official Android based tablet ? the Huawei MediaPad. It?s a nice 7-incer running Android 3.2 Honeycomb operating system with the upcoming Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update. It also sports a 7-inch touch-screen display at 1280 x 800 pixels resolution capacity that supports 1080P Full HD video playback, a Qualcomm dual-core 1.2GHz processor, Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth connectivity and other thing we love and enjoy. The Huawei MediaPad is also said to be offered in three different colors: shadow black, classic brown and passion pink (and why there is no passion black?). Also, its Ice Cream Sandwich update should be rolled out in the first quarter of this year. But what I am really interested in is its price. We?ve seen Asus offering a Tegra-3 based 7-incher for $250 only and I do expect to see a price tag like this coming with the MediaPad. Well, stay tuned for updates.
