Gingerbread 2.3.3 Update Coming Soon - February 12, 2011 It is pleasant to know that Android development is not static and that people who are responsible for that are really paid for the work done. Another version of the sweet Gingerbread 2.3 will be Gingerbread 2.3.3. This update will be carrying a number of a few important fixes as well as some updates. Well, if you are not an experienced Android user I do not think that it will be possible to enjoy all the beauties of this update, but it still will be worth downloading. Here is what will be included in the update:
1. A comprehensive NFC reader/writer API that lets apps read and write to almost any standard NFC tag in use today;
2. Advanced Intent dispatching that gives apps more control over how/when they are launched when an NFC tag comes into range;
3. Some limited support for peer-to-peer connection with other NFC devices.
Also, here is what Xavier Ducrohet has mentioned: ?NFC is an emerging technology that promises exciting new ways to use mobile devices, including ticketing, advertising, ratings, and even data exchange with other devices?. Sounds great! Way to go! Featured Cell Phone News
