Expect a Windows ? Android Powered Net Book Says Acer - October 9, 2010 Yes, you heard it right! Acer wants to take things further as it plans to combine both Windows 7 and Android OS in its net book series. Many don?t know how to take this, but it seems that Android is just way too young for Windows in the laptop/ net book niche. Reportedly the Acer Aspire One D255 with dual-core Atom is said to be one in the list. Furthermore, Acer says that they are also planning to standardize the dual-booting feature on all its dual-core net books soon. You might have heard also about ChromeOS, Google?s own brainchild and operating system, which should be the forerunner on Acer?s net books instead of the Android 2.2. But unfortunately, ChromeOS is not yet released. I guess we will have to wait. But let?s applaud Acer and the Android super-proxy for now.
