CyanogenMod Changes Logo
By Fred Salva

If you are an Android user I am pretty sure you came across CyanogenMod team and their products. Without any regret I can tell for sure that they managed to become saviors for thousands if not millions of people. Do not get me wrong ? Android OS is great but in some cases manufacturers forget about their creations and make a decision to leave everything behind. For example, a budget Sony Ericsson X8 smart-phone that is well known in Europe and Asia is still running Android 2.1 clair (officially) but when flashed with Android 2.3 Gingerbread ROM it doubled its productivity on Quadrant and despite a couple of minor bugs worked really great. So, the question stands: why manufacturers get so lazy and leave great handsets behind? Thank God we have CyanogenMod team to cover our backs. Also, to somehow celebrate all the achievement, CyanogenMod changes its logo and now that humanoid looking fellow is called Cid and will appear in every CyanogenMod build. Now I find CyanogenMod cooler than ever!
